1100 Park Avenue

New York, NY 10128
co-op
About
Designed by architects De Pace & Juster and built in 1930 as an impressive and elegant 18-story plus penthouse cooperative building. This luxury prewar building has 65 apartments that are of six to thirteen rooms, all with fine proportions, wood burning fireplaces and some with terraces. The yellow marble base rises 3 stories to a dark brown facade that has been beautifully detailed with terra cotta ornamental balconies and cornices. Covered water towers crown this full-service doorman building, which also has additional storage in the basement and a new fitness room. Situated in a very residential area, yet only two blocks from Central Park and Museum Mile, as well as the boutique shops and cafes of Carnegie Hill. The area has excellent public transportation at 86th Street with cross-town buses, as well as an express and local subway station at Lexington Avenue. Description provided by Therese Bateman
