110-118 Riverside Drive was design by the architectural firm of Gronenberg and Leuchtag, a highly respected firm which was known for their buildings on the Upper West Side. 110-118 Riverside Drive was their crowning glory. Built of a orange colored brick popular for a short time between 1928-29, the facade includes Renaissance detailing, with a hint of the Art Deco. The apartments themselves are particularly spacious, with five of the seven street-facing apartments, featuring a gracious arrangement of living room and dining room parallel to each other, and extra large picture windows to capture the incomparable views. When first developed in the 1880s and 1890s, the area west of Broadway was filled with single family brownstones.
