205 West End is located at the southwest corner of West End Avenue and 70th Street. It is within a few blocks of various bus and subway lines, as well as Riverside and Central parks. The building is also a half block from PS199, one of the best elementary schools in the city. 205 West End has a 24-hour doorman, managing agent staff on-site, a gym, and a garage underneath the building, among other features.

Built in 1961, 205 West End was part of a vast urban renewal project centered around the new Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. It is one of eight buildings that make up Lincoln Towers.
